6D in the Masai Mara in Africa

Most of the shots have the subject bang in the centre. Is this because you only used the centre focus point and did not recompose? Are the outer points that bad? The first shot emphasises this the most. Both the elephant and the horizon are in the centre - it would have been better to move the elephant to the left and the horizon up or down probably to the third lines - but that's just my idea.
