dynamic range - dxomarks and dpreview do not give he same resuts

In my experience the difference between 12.4 and 13 stops is pretty small in practice and probably the error margins of both figures overlap.

Put another way, if I was that worried about a scene's DR that I was desperate to squeeze 0.6 EV out of it, I'd be thinking about HDR anyway because the extreme ends of the range will be noisier or less accurate in colour terms anyway if I used a single shot.

I have to add that I use a Fuji S3 precisely because of it's high DR performance, but I've never been in a situation that it's 12.5 or 13 EV of max DR wasn't enough where I wouldn't have needed way more than a little 0.6 EV extra.
