Panasonic is very successfull in hiding the native audio rec bitrate of the new GH3.. nothing in the manual, neither by googling. At least is sounds somewhat better than the (un-hacked) GH2.

Can't tell you for sure, but the GH2 records at 48Khz and I expect the GH3 does the same. If I have time over the weekend I will get some soundtracks from the GH3 and see what the bitrate is.
