Google Sky Map for Android and nature photographing

I'm a fan of landscape photography and got instantly inspired of Android phone because of Google Sky map. This application is capable to time travel and display sun position in sky at whatever time.

Sounds great, if I could on day time predict where the sun goes down today and etc.

Can anyone confirm, that this appliaction can be used reliably during longer period?

If yes, please give as a reference your Android device model, because I'm ready to get rid of my LG Optimus 4x

To my disaapointment I still haven't found any Android device providing reliable location sensors and being up to the task of this Google Sky Map application.

I have owned Samsung 8.9" P7300 tablet, Samsung Galaxy S Plus I9001, LG Optimus 4x HD P880 and some others but none of these hasn't worked reliably with Google Sky.

Sometimes the location and compass is working but next moment it fails and points to wrong direction.

So in fact one never can tell, if the devise is pointing to correct direction.

Any Google Sky Map experiences to share?
