If you mean Apple, then from whence did you get this fiction from ?

From Wikipedia :

The first recorded attempt at building a digital camera was in 1975 by Steven Sasson, an engineer at Eastman Kodak

Kodak invented the digital camera correct, but you should note that Apple had a shipping consumer camera before Kodak (made with Kodak help)

Here is a review of the first shipping digital consumer camera (n.b Canon Ion and Sony Mavica aren't strictly digital cameras)

Review of the Apple Quicktake in 1994

"The Apple QuickTake 100 is a simple but well designed 'sexy' product which is easy and fun to use. If it catches on, it will be the forerunner of a line of products which could change the way families take, manage and print their social pictures".

SONY mavica 1981........Kodak DCS(nikon based) 1991 ..... Apples rebadged Kodak 1993 .....
