Hello,
I see on the-digital-picture.com site that Canon 70-300 L has been tested with both 1.4x and 2x extenders III, reaching 420 and 600 mm respectively, but as far as I know it's impossible to mount any Canon extender on such a lens.
So what do I miss?
AFAIR there's a Kenko TC 1.4 which does work with 70-300L.
I've tried mine with an 1.5x TC from Kenko and not only it didn't work with AF - it was impossible to focus with LV as the picture never get sharp. TC was perfectly fine to use with 70-200/4 nonIS.
no idea how it works with Canon's teleconverters, though.
