T. Hogan on D800 QC issue

I have just been through the same quandary in my mind.  Would I get the D600/800 - what about all the issues that I read about on the web?  It totally undermined my confidence.   For a working pro - I don't want to be stuck in Asia with a camera that won't work.  Especially in Australia where we have no return period like you boys in the States do.   We buy it, we are stuck with it.

After weighing up all the options, a couple of days ago I acquired a mint D3x.   Best thing I ever did.  This is the most awesome camera and the dynamic range and depth of resolution is out of this world.  However, the best thing, is that this camera is rock solid - it inspires confidence in me like a 600/800 - or even the new D4 - never could.

It may be older technology, but I reckon it will still  serve me well for the next 5 years.  I feel sorry for you guys who whacked down the hard earned dough and have been burnt - good luck with your 600s and 800s.
