I have heard something about this before but I dismissed it. I could be being really stupid but wouldnt our photos all be underexposed ( mine are actually over, have exp set to minus 1/3 as a rule ) or is the camera compensating with whatever setting it can, say setting a slower shutter for example?

Im not going to worry too much, it is what it is and the camera is giving lovely images whether the iso is accurate or not, but if its true and deliberate its a naughty marketing ploy by fuji to make its product appear better than it is at each iso setting.

It is compensating by using a higher ISO number than it should.
