imho I think it's a terrific effect . . . but in a competiton?
Competitons, unless they have very specific criteria specified, are all about what the judge(s) like and one man's meat is another man's poison.

I think it would be a real shame if this didn't win something - any chance you'll be able to let us know?

btw - I've photographed it myself, I live in hereford
