Hillary Clinton and the Benghazi hearings

Mistakes were made prior to the events on Sept 11th in Benghazi, but there was no smoking gun of real time rescue efforts that could have saved the four Americans....and there will never be.

Senator McCain, Senator Johnson, Senator Paul and some others looked petty and petulant in their questioning and insulting of Clinton. Clinton admitted mistakes were made and concentrated on trying to fix the problem while many Republicans just played to their constituents on this old tired and unfortunate story.  Even today, Republicans are holding up  funding for embassy security, and they cut this funding in the past year.

As Hillary said in effect, "what difference does it make if it was a demonstration or an attack or if it was just a bunch of guys out for a walk deciding to kill some Americans"....and she was right.

Hillary took the high ground and she clearly was the winner in this confrontation that some even thought that she was dodging because of her recent health problems.  She took responsibility but she did not take some of the more stupid and insulting questions lying down, but responded sharply to them.

It has now come out that even the Benghazi drone images were not available real time. The vision of Obama or Hillary sitting in the White House denying aid to helpless Americans is a fiction that exists only in the minds of Obama haters, some on this very forum.

Time to move on.
