If there is a chance part of their TOS are not followed from your side, they would take it especially if there are expensive repairs. They can always claim failure to follow operating or maintenance instructions if there is ANY external or internal damage and it is at their discretion to  evaluate if the damage (say scratched lcd) is significant. Any service would rather charge you for the repair if they can.
