12-35 unimpressive as a landscape lens

and so is my 35-100.   ..love them both, and print pretty big (20x30")  from both-- don't do much pixel peeping though.  For me, the 12-35 is a much more capable lens than the 14-45 ever was and I sold the 14-45 long ago.

Sounds like you could benefit from FF and top quality primes?
