yes, composing with a PC lens takes time. I have the older 28mm PC, but only break it out when i am solo and not in a rush.

I also have the 14-24 2.8, and its a lens that spends more time on my camera than any other (i also have the 24-120 as you do, but for interiors, it sometimes just isnt enough).

I will second the idea of using the 14mm end of the lens, shooting vertical but *level*, then cropping off the excess foreground at the bottom as desired. Works quite well.

Side benefit: being able to shoot a dark-ish church interior @ 2.8 with a sharp lens.

I havent bought an updated to the 24mm PC-E, as the 4mm difference isnt enough incentive. What i will spend money on, however, is a 17mm PC lens...if nikon ever gets around to making one.
