The treatment of that is nice but I don't know if the canvas effect works with the shot. It would be interesting to see the image without that particular effect. Also, and this is not necessarily a bad thing, there is something alienating about this picture. Perhaps it's the way the figure is cut off at the shoulders. Did you deliberately frame it that way or did you crop it?
