What standard zoom f/2.8 for A99?

I have switched to A99 because I broke my A77. Some good in the bad

Now some of my lenses have become obsolete, because they were fitting the APS-C sensor size, so I need to buy new ones for the A99.

I'm struggling in deciding on the standard zoom range, so something between 24 and 100mm @ f/2.8. Obviously, there's the Zeiss 24-70mm, which I find too heavy, and too expensive (I might reconsider if you recommend it, or rather if you disrecommend other lenses).

What standard zoom do you recommend? There's Sigmas, Tamrons, and Sonys, maybe more...
