This 20 looks like a little brother of the 35. Hopefully the quality is up to par. Even still could it be that much better than the 16? Esp if you are cropping out 4mm of corner?

Also I wonder if Sigma is in the process of responding to this. Why else are they wholesaling their stuff?

Do you think Sigma and Sony work together? Like do they let each other know what they are working on to not compete with one another or do they supplement each other's offerings and kind of stay out of each other's way. Seems like they are pretty competitive in the DSLR market.

I am sure that Sony approves all FLs that are being made for the E mount, under their licensing agreement.

Even so, the Sigma 19 and Sony 20 are very different lenses. The Sony is a pancake and may very well rely on FW corrections (or a lens profile), whereas the larger Sigma 19 is optically very accurate. The Sony, of course, is a pancake, and long rumored in the making. I doubt that the UWA can be attached to the 20mm.

Imo, Sony left an opportunity here - a 20/2.0 pancake would be a must have for many. 20/2.8 is only soso.

But for those that held off on the E24Z, and have not yet purchased the Sigma 19mm, here is your chance to get the Sony 20mm. But at $350, I'd rather save up for the 35/1.8 - at least it is f/1.8.

BTW - the Sigma 19 + 30mm combo can now be purchased for $199.

The PZ18200 is nothing new, just a motorized zoom added to the original SEL18200. It is a great lens, optimized for video, but lacked power zoom. The PZ18200 gets three levels of zoom speed, and is badly needed, as anyone with the PZ1650 can attest too - the power zoom is way too fast.

The PZ18200 is even bigger than the SEL18200, but at least it is black.
