CS6 won't run after upgrade installation

I have CS5 Extended on my Win8 PC. I just bought the CS6 Upgrade from Adobe. I just went to start it for the first time after the upgrade and I get a message saying "Could not open a scratch file because the file is locked, you do not have the necessary access permissions, or another program is using the file. Use the 'Properties' command in the Windows Explorer to unlock the file."
I have an SSD as my boot drive, with all installed software. I have set most of my swap/cache files (from Windows, IE, and CS5) to a separate physical hard drive. Any idea how I fix my problem?
