Some computer questions

I use a similar setup to the OP's, and it's fast. not as fast as i7, but still...

If there's that much difference, I'd suspect malware, so running good, up-to-date AV would be a first step. If that doesn't help, then yes, a clean install should do it.

My next machine will be Intel, though..
