Lens for "big game" photography

If this trip is likely to be a "once in a lifetime" experience, then I personally would do whatever was needed (like use a credit card, maybe) and buy the Sony A mount adapter and the Sony 70-400 lens. You'll pay the bills off in time, but you'll have any great shots that you get forever. Good luck and enjoy the adventure and post some images here when you get back.
