best modes for wildlife shooting

What are the best  AF and Matrix metering for modes for shooting wildlife that are stationary with only little movement and what are the best for the same that are moving somewhat?

I use AF-S and center weighted matrix for birds that are sitting still and AF-C  for birds in flight and animals moving....Is there a better way on my D7000?
