Problem with the lens 9-18 Oly

I checked my photos taken with 9-18 on OMD. They are not too many yet as I only have owned the lens for a couple of weeks. Very few was shot directly to the sun, I usually avoid that. Anyway, they had some flare, but none of them had purple flare to that degree. Just a little. Several pictures were shot with the sun slightly outside the picture - very little flare, if at all. I use the native lens hood. So I would say that flare is a minor problem on 9-18, after my very limited experience, that is. I had a Sigma 10-20 earlier and flare was more common with that lens, but not that much that it was a real problem that as well.
