Shot 5DII at the PGA golf yesterday
In reply to zenpmd, 4 months ago

Shot my 5DII yesterday after having not used it for 6 mths - I needed a longer lens than I have with the X-Pro1

Got back home with the RAW files and immediately noticed that the Canon under exposes everything compared to the Fuji - by around 0.95 of a stop

So there's your difference

Canon are being very conservative when exposing to the right - probably because their exposure system is a typical DSLR system that samples the image in a few locations - where as the Fuji can of course look at the exposure data in real time from the whole image.

0.95 of a stop is of course recoverable in post processing, but it was annoying never the less.

Processed shot from 5DII and 600 f/4L
