Have you looked at onOne's Perfect B&W? It's cheaper than Silver Efex, and much less if bought as part of Photo Suite 7 Lightroom Edition.
I ask because Silver Efex is too expensive for the use I'd make of it, and I wonder what you sacrifice (if anything) with Perfect B&W.
