You will need to produce the receipt with the warranty card if any work is to be covered by warranty. If your name is on the receipt then you are the owner. I once sold a lens just two weeks after I bought it, but as I had a good customer relationship with the shop where I bought it, they were  willing to give me a another receipt without my name on it which I was able to pass on to the new owner. So if your name is not on the receipt, there should not be any problem but as you bought from Amazon, I guess your name is on the invoice. I think only Apple accept transfer of ownership with warranty.
