It would not look like his silly graph! The 1DsIII 21Mp to 1Dx 18Mp is really strange. Maybe a 7DII at 14Mp and $2000? Hope Canon does not continue on that track.

I think you should read the white papers at the link I provided. Sorry, I couldn't be of more help.

I actually do see the point as there will be an end point sometime. However, we are just at the beginning of that graph. If you assign 5 years to each point on the "image quality" axis, it makes more sense. As for high Mp 7D, Canon has prototype 120Mp APS-H which has pixel density of 76Mp 7D and 195Mp FF. Would they bother to produce it if it was too noisy? Might cost a few bucks more. Their earlier prototype, which they said was low noise, would give 32Mp 7DII. Nikon's latest 24Mp sensor (I forget who makes it) I hear looks good and is cheap.
