Snowy Owls - 46 hours in Ocean Shores

At one point we saw nine snowy owls in the air at one time. A predator must have flown over and suddenly they arose from everywhere.

They were easy to find. I approached them very slowly. The pictures above are of just one owl. I spent almost two hours with him and he never flew off. I would keep moving in six inches at a time until the owls filled my lens. Never had one fly away from me under these circumstances.
