Hi, First, I'd be wary of that Pixco PG-708 unit, does it claim to be 'master' capable? If it was really good, I'm sure we would never hear the end of it. Looks more like a re-badged Olong to me.

But more fundamentally, what off-cam flash functionality to you want now & in 2 yrs time? While I like Canon Wireless (light/IR type), having had the reliability of RF comms, I don't like going back to Light/IR now. With a 7D in portrait orientation (shutter button up) Controller light/IR triggering is less reliable cam right than it is cam left. I got pretty good at optimising the outgoing pre-flash light path etcetc.

Simple M flash has its advocates, but remotely adjusted M flash power fraction setting by Group is very quick and effective, whether or not you rate ETTL with Group specific FEC etc.

In a way thinking through your control & trigger choices is the primary issue. Speedlite +/- strobe choices will follow on naturally. IMO the benchmark triggers now are Commlite T320 (simple M), the Yn 622Cs (but care needed for full compatibility), Odins and the TTL PWs (too complex?). Try to take a long view - I bought a Canon 550Ex a long time ago (since, have acquired more, cheaply secondhand) - it/they still work(s) brilliantly with 2012 bodies - admittedly, Odins are in the mix.

Happy chosing!
