I am not going to read through all replies to your post and this is not super important in the digital age partiicularly if you shoot RAW images but back when I shot tranparency film (particularly Kodachrome) using an LX I used a Minolta F 1 degree spot meter and a Sekonic L-358 incident meter for accuracy.  Diffcult to impossible to get good readings with varable aperature zooms.  You need constant aperature zooms using hand held meters.

With the leeway in digital exposure these meters are not used that much but for accuracy the L-358 is hard to beat in dificult lighting situations.
