Vari-Pixels: the germ of an idea for a new type of sensor.

There are ongoing discussions about how many pixels, aspect ratios etc., so apparently some or many people are dis-satisfied with what they have or what is available.

Many of today's ideas were laughed off the stage when first mooted.

My suggestion probably seems overly complicated,  but with the speed of change we have now the formerly-impossible may become desirable, for reasons we haven't yet thought of.
