I think it's worth it. The focal length is not as versatile as the 50 1.8 but extremely flattering. Also the lens is deliciously fast to focus, and the bokeh is lovely.

I've had mine for a couple of months on a 450D and use it as much as possible (but the 50 is still my walkabout as I find it more practical).

I tried to insert a pic I took today but it didn't work. My kitchen is a mess, so I NEED the 1.8!
