primes or zoom for my 5D Mark ii

I currently own a 5D Mark ii. Great camera so far. The first two lenses I bought were the 50mm 1.8 and 85mm 1.8. I just sent the 85mm back because I thought the lenses were too close in focal length. My question is that a lot of the higher end L series zooms ( 24-70, 70-200 2.8) are out of my price rance. I am thinking about purchasing the 100mm F2.0 and/or 200 mm f2.8.Would it make sense for me to purchase some prime lenses instead or save up for one of the L series zoom lenses? Do you think that I should do a combination of both. Most of my photos will be of my kids, city, and an occasional portrait. I do have a trip to Europe planned for this spring.
