send back Canon 5D Mark ii for 6D

New to the full frame world and I have owned my 5D Mark ii for a couple of months,It's a great camera so far but after moving up from a t2i & 60D camera, I realize that I have a lot to learn. With the 6D now on the market for a couple of months, I am wondering if I should send back the 5D Mark ii and go for the newer model. The price points are almost close. Should I stay with battle tested 5D Mark ii or try to stay ahead of the curve with the 6D's newer sensor etc. Most of my photos will be of my family, some occasional portraits and travels. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
