Advice for upgrading d70 with Tamron lens

I am looking for advice as I work toward upgrading my camera body and lenses. I currently have a D70 with a Tamron 28-80 lens. Finances are limited so I plan to upgrade in stages as I can afford it. I am trying to decide whether to do body or lenses first.

I am leaning toward lenses until I can decide whether d90 or d7000 body. I enjoy nature closeups (florals and such), landscapes and general family stuff.

I would like to get a better walk about/travel lens and am considering a refurbished 18-105.Good idea or no?

What would be a good refurbished macro lens to go with?

I appreciate any and all advice or other suggestions.
