So I have heard some owners of this lens say that it's really good from 70-200mm and then a little soft at 300mm. I took a test shot to see how it would do with my D600. (One downsized and then a 100% crop .. both RAW through Lightroom) What do you think? Is this a sharp copy or just a typical copy?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the reviews seem to say that there is not a single "consumer" telezoom that can at the long end match sharpness of the better pro telezooms and primes. Not that they are useless though.
Relevance?
Correct me if I'm wrong but the OP never once compared his 70-300mm to a "pro" / prime anything.
He wanted to know how his performs within the same model.
