OM-D On-off switch

I love alpine touring and mountaineering. Thats the reason why a bought a weatherproof camera. The OM-D is a very good companion. Only one thing drives me crazy. The on-off switch ! Situation: Winter, very cold, windy. You try to move the switch. Nada ! You take your gloves off, you secure your gloves (the wind blows), you move the switch, you take the picture, you take the gloves out of your pockets, you take your gloves on. I hope someone from Olympus read my post and look around for a better solution ? I now them: On-off switch as collar around the trigger.(Nikon, Fujifilm and others) I love the switch especially

Summit of Erzkogel in the Semmering  Region, Lower Austria.

on my Fujifilm X-E1. Collartype, the switch just potrudes a little bit over the camerabody to make the turning on and off easy. What do you think about ?

P.S. Why not go on tour with my X-E1 ? The quality of the pictures is the same, the Fuji has (just) no real wide angle glass, the X-E1 is heavier, more bulky and not weatherproof. But I love the greater switches and the overall handling of the Fuji more.
