Subject isolation,depth of field questiob with 70-200 F2.8 Vs F4

I took this picture at f2.8 with the Nikon 70-200.  I waited until the monkeys eyes were looking thru the fence.  If I switched to the new F4 lens to save weight, how much would I lose in the isolation affect (how much less diffuse would the fence be)?
