Silkypix

I wondered why the help menu in my XE-1 Silkypix raw converter did not look right. On going to the web site the current version is over 5. My CD version is 3 something and will not download to the current web version which is $300. I have Windows 8. From the look of my current 3 version that looks very arcane I certainly would not want to pay for something that likely would also be this byzantine and I shouldn't have to pay at any rate. I can't even find out how to do a noise adjustment or save to a jpeg or tiff.  Anyone else encounter this or have any experience with the most current version?  It seems our RAW pictures will rest in obscurity until someone figures this out.  Had I known all this I would have gone for an OMD.
