Viewing & controlling Lumix GH3 camera using Android smart phone or Android tablet
Jan 21, 2013

Wondering if anyone who has the Panasonic Lumix GH3 camera and uses it for videography have had any recent experience using it with the built-in wireless feature, viewing the captured image and controlling at least the recording START/STOP functions using an Android OS device (not an Apple device, in other words).

For instance, when the camera is mounted on a jib or crane or affixed to the fenders of a moving vehicle, how easy is it to establish wireless connection between it and the smart phone/tablet, how good is the live view image that one sees, and what else can be controlled besides simple starting and stopping of the video recording? I assume the connectivity would always have to be wireless, i.e. there is no wired connection possible between camera and external phone/tablet, right? Thanks!
