Stripped thread on a Giotto 5011 head

I have a fairly new Giotto 5011 tripod head and found that one of the two levers has a stripped thread - or rather the lever looks okay, but the hole where it screws in must be stripped. Won't tighten and pulls right out.

Has anyone encountered this - repair suggestions?
