that makes it official - you talked about the 70-200 f/2.8 OS having a smoother bokeh then the 70-200 f/4.0 L IS USM

I just wanted to point out that it's surely worse then the 135 f/2.0 and that puts in in perspective.

I see basically three aspects in tele lenses

  1. Tavel - a good balance between weight, optical performance and size is the target
  2. Artistically photography - bokeh bokeh and bokeh
  3. Sports - speed, speed and speed, optical performance and weight

The Sigma lenses fit (for me) nowhere in these segments (only as a compromise) - sorry! None of the Sigma lenses has the AF performance and sharpness of the Canon pendants - good quality for the money but not the same level.(when I rent the Sigma sport 120-300 in 2013 I will also test it against the 135 f/2.0 at 135 mm - and then we'll see how good the bokeh renders)
If you start being more open to photography not limiting yourself to family members with a new career in photographing other women in nice cars give me a sign - I might be able to give you some 1st hand tips for good (german) cars (which hold their price as good as certain band lenses)

Sorry, but what is the point comparing the Sigma 120-300mm against the Canon 135mm? a zoom against a prime? well I guess that some techs at Sigma like to hear that some compliment to Sigma. Maybe you should compare it with the same lens in Canon brand .... oh no sorry Canon do not have that.
