I use a Velbon Ultra Rexi L Tripod With PH-157Q Head with my D600 and 150mm Sigma macro.
The legs splay out to get the tripod down to about 15cm of the ground. Very pleased with it.
I don't advise the Velbon 53 ball head, go for the 3 way head, much easier to use.
