Tried X-E1 for volleyball yesterday

I have been photographing volleyball for many years. But last year I sold all my "pro" DSLR equipment to go lighter and smaller. So today I have the X-E1 and the 35mm. Just for fun I tried it out yesterday during the finals of the Norwegian Championships.
Conclusion first (as we all know): this is not a camera for sports.
First, I believe you need an optical viewfinder for sports photography. I could non pinpoint the point I wanted sharp, hence unsharp images. The focus was hunting too much, back and forth, and then the player had moved, same again. Of course, this may be due to the lighting in the hall, which is not too good.
But alas, I could use ISO 5000 and even 6400. This was a big plus, and I wished I had had this in my Olympus E-5.
Also, I would have liked to have the 56mm (read 85mm). I always wanted that with my Olympus, but zooms was the motto for them. That worked fine for beach volleyball, where the 50-200 (100-400) was almost all I needed.
So I guess sport photography is over for me now. But I am enjoying the Fuji so much that I look forward to times when the sun comes back fully.
