I live on the Washington DC area USA and own an Epson R2000 which I value as one of my best printers from my current army of over 15 ranging from 13 to 17"
This is what I saw on my local Craigslist tonight.

Free for the taking.
I could just go get them and use them for parts.
These family of printers has found a niche in the garment printing industry. Mainly T-Shirts.
The printers are bought by the dozens, the new print heads removed. Inks sold for $15 and up per set.
Why are so many heads needed? Apparently they don't seem to last that long with the inks that are used for garment printing. The use the use the heads on specialized custom built machines. Some people use a modified R2000 body.
The result, hundreds of "Empty Headed" R2000s being sold for a few dollars each on EBAY and as you can see, also on Craigslist.
This is truly CRIMINAL!!!!
SOOOOO SAAAAAD!!!!!
