R3000 ink usage....

So I have been using my Epson R3000 some since I received it for Christmas, and I thought the ink usage was suppose to be pretty long in between changes, but so far I'm not seeing that. To date I've printed 1 8x10 on Epson Ultra Premium Paper Luster, about 15 4x6s on premium glossy, and 1 CD/DVD print on Matte, and the printer is already showing 1/3rd of most all the inks gone. I left it on and have printed each of the above about a week apart. Does this sound right?
