"Tones bunch up, saturation is uneven across the range of the image. And inevitably, you need to unbunch in some places and rebunch in others to get what you really wanted in the first place. Starting with the cleanest numbers is the best strategy."

I tried what you said and all I can say is the results are just phenomenal smoother tones, more detail, better color overall better feel to the file. Kind of like having a Leica lens on my camera. Hard to see from the JPEG's but will be the way I process all my files from now on, thanks!
