Getting the highest performance from a lens

Another thing to experiment with is to overexpose +0.67 stop with higher ISO while shooting, and then pull down exposure -0.67 stop with Lightroom or other software. This can often give you slightly less noise and increased perceived sharpness without using any NR tools which only smears the picture. Try it out. The differences are small but could give you that little extra that you hunt for.
