I think Owl are some of the hardest birds to get take photos of I have been tring for year and haven't gotten very many good ones.
The G15 being so handy is exactly why I got mine, I find myself taking many more picture since I don't have to drag my DLSR around.
Here one of the few owl pictures I have gotten
