Recommended (ultra) wide lens ?

Unless you can get a sigma 8-16 or 10-20 second hand I don't know what you coud get.

There are Pentax and Tamron models  but I don't think they go as wide and I dont know much about their performance. You should be able to find reviews pretty easily, though I have seen some contradiction among them.

I have a Peleng 8mm that I really love, but that is a specialty item you may not want.

I also have SIgma 10-20 that I got 2nd hand for an ok price. I would love the 8-16, but can't justify it for now. The Pentax 15mm is hecka cool, but I can't justify that for now either. Though perhaps some day...
