For the fun of it , Sony 70-400G on Oly EM5

I picked up an adapter some time ago (Alpha lens to Oly body) but had not botheted with it as the G lens is always fully closed so today I figured why not lock it open? A bit of fine plastic covered wire bent at each end and placed inside the lens to hold open the aperture and I had a constant wide open lens instead of a closed lens to work with .
Toss in the double factor and using the digital doubling the 400mm end of the lens became equivalent to a 1600mm lens at f5.6 quite a weapon.
The biggest surprise is it was actually quite easy to focus (using EVF and a monopod for support)
three shots i took today , one from inside the house of a green rosella on a perch near the window

one of a kookaburra some 30 metres away near our pond ,

and a third when returning to the house a welcome swallow sitting on a perch in front of the house (that is the colour background)

considering all were manual focus I was quite pleased with the quality, the combination worked better than expected (by me) as i do not trust my aging eyes for such things nowadays
hope the links work
just a bit of fun but now I must try a few other lenses on the Oly
anyone else doing combinations I could try?
