Nice photo but yes. I have owned a number of APS-C bodies and for raw quality I'd put Nikon, Pentax and Sony - all using the same core chip - ahead by a visible margin. Especially at high ISO.

As you show, the Canon can make great photos. It's just not as clean as its better competitors.
